Important Covid-19 Update

Important Covid-19 update regarding entry to our home games in 2022

To all our members, supporters, friends and guests at Ellenbrook United Football Club.

The purpose of this communication is to inform you of the procedures that will apply on matchdays at Ellenbrook Sports Hub with immediate effect and until further notice throughout the 2022 season.

  • Signage on all Community Hub entrance doors and changing room doors will advise all matchday attendees to Check In via the SafeWA or ServiceWA app using the QR Code provided; and

  • Signage on all Community Hub entrance doors will advise all matchday and training attendees aged 16 years and over of the State Government’s Proof of Vaccination (POV) requirements. The signage will advise that all such attendees must:

    • Check in via the SafeWA or ServiceWA app using the QR Code provided; and

    • Demonstrate POV to enter the clubrooms if they are either purchasing alcohol or partaking in a seated meal

  • All such attendees can get a stamp on the wrist to verify their POV by showing the appropriate evidence (typically the ServiceWA app) at either the canteen, or to a Ground Marshall or bar person.

  • All such attendees will be required to show their stamp to club staff to purchase drinks from the bar. No stamp = no service – and those without a stamp will be asked politely to leave the clubrooms.

  • Club officials and volunteers will also do spot checks in the clubrooms to ensure all such attendees are complying with the State Government’s POV mandate.

  • Masks are to be worn by all when inside the clubrooms.

To visiting clubs, please inform your members, officials and supporters of these new requirements at Ellenbrook Sports Hub in advance to ensure that things run smoothly for all on matchdays, including pre-season and Night Series friendlies.

We would also ask that all attendees treat our volunteers and committee members with respect as they are simply implementing a State Government mandate.

The fines are significant if we do not comply, so we ask all attendees not to take out their frustration or enter into debates and arguments about the State Government’s policy with our volunteers. They are trying to do their best in difficult times to look after you all and keep the world game alive and kicking here in WA.

Many thanks in advance.
